Darren recently worked with Norwich Union by sitting on a selection panel interviewing candidates for places on their flagship leadership programme. Successful high potential individuals are then sent to Namibia for three weeks on a leadership challenge.
An intensive experience for both the interviewer and the interviewees. The selection involved a presentation and questions to understand how ready the candidates were to really gain the most out of the programme at this time. With feedback offered to both the successful applicants and unsuccessful so ensure that the experience was still a learning one with clear directional development areas. The most common of comments being “the most intense interview I’ve ever had, and the most rewarding” and “ whether or not I’m successful, I’ve already learned so much more about myself!”

Also in March Darren co-delivered as an associate with another training company part of a four module Graduate programme for Norwich Union to ensure they have a great grounding for success in their careers. Another one coming up soon.


Bev facilitated leadership team awaydays for Mobilis Healthcare 4/5 April. This is a great group of companies with huge potential – they just needed some help in pulling the team together, refocusing on the bigger picture and sharing their responsibilities. We worked hard in beautiful surroundings at Nailcote Hall near Birmingham. Feedback was excellent – they arrived as individuals and went away as a team, people felt supported and able to be open and honest with each other.  As the Chief Executive said, you know when the facilitator has understood what’s required when the event flows naturally and ends on time!

The Horizon Group commissioned a “Managing from the Inside Out” programme for its managers in pubs, holiday parks, bowling alleys and restaurants. 15 delegates had 2½  days intensive and mind-opening learning opportunities. Here’s what they said:
