beyounow is my private practice with a therapy studio in Norfolk.
I also work for the Sue Lambert Trust (Norwich) and Survivors in Transition (Ipswich) offering individual and group therapy to men and women who are living with the consequences of sexual abuse and/or domestic violence.
I am registered as a Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapist with:
- UKCP (the UK Council for Psychotherapy)

- EATA (the European Association for Transactional Analysis)
and am guided by their Codes of Ethics.
Knowledge & Skills
I love learning and am always seeking to upgrade my knowledge and skills eg
- the latest research about the brain and how it works with the body to promote survival
- techniques for working with clients to help them achieve happiness and well-being
- neuro-plasticity, trauma informed practise, EMDR therapy.
I have a Post Graduate Diploma in Transactional Analysis (Psychotherapy) with Middlesex University, having completed more than 10 years of study at the Berne Institute, in Kegworth.
A Brief History
- in 1997 I did my first counselling skills training course and started to use the skills I learned to help friends and family
- I wanted to do more, to reach out to others whose lives had been less enjoyable through no fault of their own. I went to a weekend workshop in 2003 in Transactional Analysis (TA) and was hooked!
- In 2004 I became a volunteer for the Norwich Rape Crisis centre in a supervised work placement offering counselling to female survivors of recent and historic sexual abuse.
- In 2005, I established beyounow and in 2018 I became a full-time psychotherapist
